על ניגון זה אמר אדמו"ר הריי"צ שהוא מנקה את הנשמה מכל
לכלוך.
מסופר שאדמו"ר הזקן היה עושה בעלי תשובה עם הניגון הזה.
“The voice of My Beloved knocks: ‘Open up for Me, My sister, My wife, My dove, My perfect one!’” (Song of Songs 5:2).
Of this niggun the Rebbe Rayatz said that it cleanses the soul. It is said that the Alter Rebbe was able to inspire people to change their lives and return to the fold of Judaism with this niggun.
