Arrangement, Altered Lyrics, Lead and Backup Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Bass Guitar, Drum Track Engineering by Avigdor Zeitlin.

This song is based on “Freight Train Boogie", a country music song written by Alton and Rabon Delmore, recorded in Cincinnati and released in 1948. The altered lyrics depict a fictional character, Good Ol’ Chaikel, who drove a freight train six days a week, bringing the train to a halt for the holy day of Shabbos. During the week, with SHabbos on his mind, he looks out for items to purchase in honor of the Day of Rest.

LYRICS:

VERSE:
Good ol’ Chaikel was mighty strong,
He chugged his freight train all week long.
There’s one thing he had on his mind
To spend Shabbos at home and leave the week behind.

CHORUS:
He made the freight train boogie all week long.
He made the freight train boogie to the beat of a Shabbos song.

VERSE:
Rolled on Monday into a little town,
Jumped off the train to look around.
Found some herring up for sale,
Bought the barrel for Shabbos, and got back on the rail.

CHORUS:
He made the freight train boogie all week long.
He made the freight train boogie to the beat of a Shabbos song.

VERSE:
Found himself on Wednesday in Tennessee,
Passing Moishe’s Kosher Whiskey.
He brought the freight train to a halt,
Paid for an entire cask of malt.

CHORUS:
He made the freight train boogie all week long.
He made the freight train boogie to the beat of a Shabbos song.

VERSE:
Came huffing and whistling Friday afternoon,
Applied the brakes, cause it's Shabbos soon.
His freight train boogie’s gonna take a break,
As he picked up for his kids some Kokosh cake.

CHORUS:
He made the freight train boogie all week long.
He made the freight train boogie to the beat of a Shabbos song
