“Turkey in the Straw" is an American folk song that first gained popularity in the early 19th century. This song was initially a popular tune for fiddle players. In the late 1820s and early 1830s, "Turkey in the Straw" was performed in minstrel shows, by various artists. Today, it is often played during Bluegrass concerts and jam sessions.
